Kidlat Set To Strike Singapore Open '09

After claiming Pool B top honors last year, KIDLAT seeks to improve on its finish as it once again participates in the '09 Singapore Ultimate Open. Led by co-Captains Perkin Chai and Randall Ty, the team is raring to strut its stuff and are looking to land in the Pool A and possibly give the tourney favorites a run for their money. Whatever happens, the Ultimate fields of Singapore will once again echo with shouts of "Kid-whuuuut?!? Kid-lat!!!".

PURPLE REIGN!

The Purple Team outlasted the Black Team to capture the 2nd Monster Night League Ultimate Tournament last June 19 at the PSC Football Field (ULTRA) in Pasig City.

The team was led by National team mainstays Reema Chanco, who also won Female MVP honors, Erik Waldie and Mark Navarra. MVP Honors went to JC Ty of the Black Team.

The 2nd Monster Ultimate Night League was powered by Beer Below Zero and sponsored by Comfortech and Perskindol.

TEAM PILIPINAS SET TO CONQUER SHANGHAI OPEN

Members of Team Pilipinas recently flew to Shanghai, China to participate in the 2009 Shanghai Open Ultimate Tournament. The Nationals are raring to get back at Shanghai Huwa, their finals conquerors last year, and make it two in a row for the team in international tourneys.

We wish our national team all the luck as they once again strive to bring glory to our country. Mabuhay!

SEXUAL SUMMER!!!

We would like to congratulate Sexual Chocolate for bagging the Pool A Championship of the Philippine Ultimate Association's 2009 Summer League last June 6, 2009 at the Ayala Alabang Country Club. Sex Choc defeated the Roaches in a thrilling final game to capture their first PUA Championship.

Congratulations are also in order for MAD and Ultimate Sunday Club (USC) for winning the Pool B & C Championships, respectively.

2009 Monster Night League Set To Kick Off!

Due to insistent public demand, Monster Ultimate is set to kick off the 2009 Monster Night League this coming April 24, 2009. Games will be held at the PSC Football Field (ULTRA) in Pasig from 7:30pm until 10:00pm.

Participants will be grouped into eight (8) teams in a strictly-formal draft night party which will be held this Thursday, April 16 @ the White Plains Barangay Hall in Quezon City from.

Dragons Fly!: Paganello Here We Come!

The Boracay Dragons, the Philippines' premiere Beach Ultimate club, left for Rimini, Italy yesterday to compete in the Paganello 2009 World Beach Ultimate Cup. The tournament will run from April 9-13 and will feature the best Beach Ultimate club teams from all across the world.

We wish the Dragons all the best as they yet again strive to establish Philippine Ultimate as one of the best in the world. Mabuhay!

PUA Ultimate Skills Clinic with Ben Wiggins

The Philippine Ultimate Association (PUA) is hosting the 2009 Ultimate Skills Clinic this coming Saturday, March 28 @ the Alabang Country Club from 9:00am until 5:00pm. Heading the clinic will be Seattle Sockeye standout Ben Wiggins, former US College Ultimate Callahan Awardee (Player of the year) and considered to be among the top players in the U.S. today.

The morning session will include players from the National training pool while the afternoon session will be attended by players from the local Ultimate community. The clinic seeks to help raise the level of skill of local Ultimate players as they get an insight on how the game should be played from one of the best players in the world.

Boracay Dragons Spew Fire Anew!

The Boracay Dragons reasserted their dominance yet again in a blazing display of speed and pin point throwing accuracy to dispatch the Ben Wiggins-led Dragon Lovers and rule the 2009 Boracay Open Beach Ultimate Championships held last March 21-22 on the powdery beaches of Boracay, Aklan.

Led by reigning World Beach Championships MVP Xtian Guerrero, the Dragons scored at will against the visibly weary Dragon Lovers and their relentless pressure on defense led the usually disciplined U.S.-based players to turnovers.

The Boracay-based team next sets its sights on the Paganello '09 Beach tourney, the largest invitational beach tournament in the world, to be held in April in Italy.
